Bonampak Archaeological Zone

Archaeological Zone located in the heart of the Lacandon Jungle, whose heyday occurred during the government of Jaguar-Eye Knot that ascended to the Bonampak throne in 743 AD. C. The portrait of its last ruler Chaan Muan II, whose mandate began in 776 AD. C., was reflected in the stelae, lintels and wall paintings that are still preserved.
