Summer Solstice

These were special dates in the mayan world, as they have been in so many cultures with one or other references. Celebrations of thanks to the astros-gods were done in the mayan cities, for the good beginning of seeding, the harvesting of the harvest, commonly winned victories and coronations. In these ceremonies the archeo-astronomic phenomemons were beautiful and accompanied by the dynamics of the holidays, being an important part within the celebrations, which sometimes lasted weeks.
